How at-home upholstery cleaning works
This is how the service works, from your first message to drying.
Before the visit
You message us on WhatsApp
Tell us what you'd like cleaned and your postcode and, if you can, send photos of the furniture and its label.
We give you the price
Based on size and fabric, we confirm the price and whether the method is suitable.
We book the visit
We agree the day and time slot with you on WhatsApp.
During the visit
Fabric check
We read the care label, check the furniture's condition and tell you what result is realistic.
Patch test and pre-treatment
We test the product in a hidden spot to rule out colour run, then pre-treat each type of stain.
Vacuuming and hot-water extraction
We vacuum thoroughly and, where the fabric allows it, inject cleaning solution and extract it, with extra passes to reduce moisture.
Finish and drying
We groom the fabric and explain how to ventilate the room for good drying.
Why we check the fabric
Every fabric reacts differently to water and products. Many manufacturers print a cleaning code on the label:
- W
- Can be cleaned with water-based products.
- S
- Solvent or dry cleaning only: no hot-water extraction.
- W/S
- Either method, with care.
- X
- Vacuum only: no cleaning products.
About drying
Drying time depends on the fabric, the thickness of the padding, air humidity and ventilation. In Barcelona's humid months it can take longer.
We recommend opening windows, using a fan if you have one and not covering the furniture until it's dry to the touch.
How to prepare for the visit
- Remove objects, throws and decorative cushions from the furniture.
- Clear the space around it so we can work comfortably.
- Let us know whether there's a lift and what parking is like on your street.
- Have the furniture label, or a photo of it, to hand.
